Our library management system aDIS/BMS stands the test of extended daily use over the years in the Association of Public Libraries in Berlin (Verbund der öffentlichen Bibliotheken Berlins) and the Munich City Library (Stadtbibliothek München), processing millions of loans yearly and completely managing all library operations. The Library of the German Parliament (Bibliothek des Deutschen Bundestages), one of the largest parliament libraries in Europe, is one of our customers.

aDIS/BMS is the adaptable library management system for the highly efficient processing of all imaginable library operations. With modern technology, it significantly reduces the load of the library staff and offers at the same time a comprehensive service to the users.

aDIS/Archive

Information System for Archives

aDIS/Archive administers conventional archive materials similarly like electronic documents in digital archives. The collection management, the recording of archival materials and the specific description and storage of images and audio visual as well as museum objects build the core of the application.


aDIS/Portal

Research in external sources

aDIS/Portal provides a central access to several information sources and offers this as a service. With the combination with CSL-Bridge, aDIS/Portal is, among others, a dynamic contextual linking system. It is universally usable, but is distributed also as additional component to aDIS/BMS.

Knowledge Management System

aDIS/Knowledge is a complicated and yet easy-to-use knowledge management system.
With aDIS/Knowledge, the available electronic knowledge in the library as well as the data content from external resources will be structured to valuable knowledge building blocks. aDIS/Knowledge assists you in the acquisition, distribution and utilization of knowledge.

By clicking on this link, Wie OPAC-Nutzer von RDA profitieren können, gezeigt am Beispiel von aDIS/BMS you will find our company lecture last Wednesday, 27.05.2015 at the Bibliothekartag in Nuremberg.

The pilot project "GND-SRU-Schnittstelle" with the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek and the Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA) was successfully completed in 2014. The product is already productive in DLA. Authority files (person and corporate bodies) can be recorded, amended and deleted from aDIS/BMS to the GND. Further information concerning this project will be made available soon.

The Quality Management Certification of our company in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 was successfully renewed in 2016.

aDIS/BMS-Version 8.4 has been released in May 2016. This version provides all features for cataloguing using the new cataloguing rules "Resource Description and Access (RDA)". By registering on our homepage customer section, |a|S|tec| customers will find all information to the planned customization as well as the papers to the aStec RDA workshop held last March 3, 2015.
